Poland's Ministry of Finance publishes the official public debt figure once a quarter, with a reporting lag — there's no public real-time API. This counter extrapolates: it takes the last two official readings (end of Q1 2026 — PLN 2,008.2bn, end of Q2 2026 — PLN 2,147.8bn), derives their average daily growth rate (~PLN 17,755/second), and adds it live from 1 July 2026 onward. This is an approximation, not today's official figure — the real pace of borrowing shifts week to week with bond issuance, tax receipts and budget spending.
The baseline growth rate will need updating once Q3 2026 data is published (typically late October/early November).
